Trains to London and across Scotland  Getting to Edinburgh is straightforward direct trains from all over Scotland and England arriveand depart from the Centre of Edinburgh. Trains from London every half hour and from Glasgow every 15 minutes. Edinburgh's main station is the Wavelerly but is you are staying in the west of Edinburgh Haymarket is more convenient.

Buses Edinburgh has a good public transport system which runs from early morning all through the night. Buses only accept the exact fare and if you dont have this you will be unable to travel. Day tickets are available on the buses. There are two main bus providers in Edinburgh Lotian transport and First Bus tickets between the two companies are not interchangeable.

From the airport If you arrive in Edinburgh by plane you can access the city centre by airport bus for 4.50 or the tram for 5.50 both take around 30 minutes. Taxis are also available for around 20 pounds to the city centre |

It is very much a business airport so its busuiest times are first thing in the morning.
